The company was founded in 1980 under the name ProEngin with the creation of its first headsail furler. Since then the brand has become a legend, taking its rightful place as the world leader in winders for sailing boats.

It all starts when in 1982, Philippe Jeantot won the Boc Challenge (a solo world tour with stops) at the Crédit Agricole. The profurl sail furler began to make a name for itself thanks to its robust and high-performance products.

For over 40 years, Profurl has been inspired by the open ocean to develop products of unparalleled quality for boating enthusiasts of all types. Trimming sails in light winds is something we can all do. Safely reducing sail to over 40 knots is what we do best and what we have been doing for over 40 years.
